I'm not going to restate the obvious, but I will remind us all of one of the few undesirable effects of the World Wide Web or Internet: Internet Sensationalism...
The information superhighway has simplified sensationalism to the point where every 5 year old can use the internet to draw attention on something that is pointless or irrelevant.
Let's not fool ourselves by giving these internet sensation givers what they want: Our attention!
I am, by now, a seasoned internet user... that knows what to give attention to , what to click on, and what to ignore... it's not that hard!
Now if you keep this in mind... you would give the recent "erection scandal" the attention it deserves: None at all!
I certainly did not give it any attention, to the point where I can claim complete ignorance of what it is actually about: I seriously don't know it because I seriously don't care about it, it is just another example of internet sensationalism that is irrelevant and pointless...
I think it is useful to remind ourselves about what internet sensationalism is really about! Let's stick with the real progressive issues!
Thank you!
